Program Overview

The 91 Institute for Surgery and Engineering strives to foster a diverse interdisciplinary community poised to address the most pressing challenges in procedural medicine.To further this goal, VISE has established anIndustry Affiliates Program (IAP)toexpand our community and build vitalcollaborativepartnerships with MedTech and related industries.As thefieldsofsurgeryandinterventiontransform,modernchallenges require more innovative,interconnected, interdisciplinarysolutionsthat incorporateclinical, engineering, and industryexpertise.At VISE, researchersdevelopthetechnical and interpersonalskills to implementtheseefficient, cost-effective,data-enabledsolutions tailoredto patient-specific treatment, as well as theability to work across disciplines to seetheseprojectstothe finish line.

The IAP invites industry partners to join the VISE communityin developing these paradigm-shifting solutionstoday and training the surgical and interventional engineers of tomorrow.FundsfromIAPpartnershipwill support students, faculty, and laboratory infrastructure through specialized equipment, pilot funding for projects, andimmersiveeducationalexperiences.Aspart of the IAP, partnersgain access tostate-of-the-artresearch updates, opportunities to shape educational programming,andnetworking with affiliates and graduatesthrough mentoring events and partner technology showcases.
